How can I get the prompts each week and the Saturday stroll. I can’t afford to upgrade. I’m 74 and funds are limited but I still paint and I want to be as much a part of your journey as possible- Sherri

This post is the Saturday Stroll (you are already signed up), and if there are prompts associated, they are linked— just tap on them.

I've only recently come to unpack and understand my childhood trauma experience and just how much my anxiety has governed my life since childhood. Ten years ago, I picked up a paintbrush again for the first time since I was a child, I reconnected with nature in ways that have not only given me a sense of childhood wonder, enchantment and awe but have also helped me calm my nervous system. I now have a daily ritualized outdoor sketchbook and painting practice that focuses on nature so that my art embodies this connection. I've come to notice that this is my safe space where I feel a sense of calm and, dare I say, hope. Thank you for your exploration of wonder and creative whimsy. I know I'm not the only one who needs its medicine.

This is just the post I needed. Joy is a form of resistance. I love that your post reminds us that whimsy signals our brain that we are safe. In a time that feels so uncertain and harried, pausing for joy anytime there’s an opportunity is more important than ever. Thank you for what you are doing.
