I am Usha from Delhi, India. I am an academician and love to dabble with all things to do with art & craft & design, be it sketching, sewing, embroidery, photography, music, gardening, cooking, cleaning or just standing and watching the clouds float.

I look forward to the 5 minutes a day experience most eagerly.

Thanks for this.

I am Ekaterina from Plovdiv, Bulgaria. I work in a real estate company, where I mostly manage the company's website and social media. Usually my day is busy and moving at a fast pace.

My time comes in the evening, when I get to finish some crochet project or paint a small watercolor, cook something delicious with my daughters (5 and 13), brainstorm along with my husband on our next DIY project, because we are renovating our house by ourselves.

I am curious and eager about Wake up to Wonder Practice, and preparing my tiles is such a joy these days.

This is the first time, i think, well since last year anyway, that i have read an ENTIRE email. I’m entranced by your words and they touch my soul.

Today i walked in the fog and was amazed at the beauty of the senseless and bleakness of what i saw. But yet the beauty and wonder of it all rose above the colourless grey and the shapes of trees silhouetted against the sky stopped me in my tracks.

Thank you for the opportunity to grow and take part.

I live in eastern Canada, Nova Scotia. Mostly watercolour.

I do have a hankering to make my own paper.

And then paint on it.

Thank you

Laura, this is so lovely it brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for such kindness. I totally support the decision to make your own paper and paint on it. I can't wait to hear and see how this unfolds for you.

Love your wonderful wisdom and enthusiasm, Michele. You are so full of infectious spirit and your words are deeply inspiring. Thank you! (Hampshire, UK)

Thank you Alison! Welcome. I love the UK. When I lived in Africa I often would stop over on my way too and from the USA. An English cottage is literally the thing I dream about.

There is something positively infectious about your enthusiasm Michele! I'm so glad to hear of your new goal setting values to something kinder and smarter - which is something I shall ponder on! Sending warmest wishes from a small off grid farm in the Alentejo region of Portugal where wonder abounds along with sheep, pigs, cats and dogs - who are in themselves wonder-ful! xx

Anna! I am so grateful you are here. Portugal... that sounds incredible. A small off-grid farm- wow! Animals are such precious gifts-- even if I'm allergic to most of them!

OH my gosh. I'm so excited to begin this. YES to the KIND part of SMART goals. Thank you for thinking of that. I am about to embark on a scary new adventure in 2025. But before I do, I was rolling around my word of the year choices...what would it be. Wonder had kept bumping to the surface. Honestly, I resisted it. I'm a type AAAAA person that has tamped down much of my creativity for most of my 56 years. So, I knew it was time to release the WONDER. The timing though?? I had already packed away all my art supplies knowing I would not be able to reach them until oh, I don't know February? But Wonder...wonder...wonder. So, when your dare I say wonder CHALLENGE popped into my insta feed, well, I knew it was an invitation I needed. I acknowledge I am way too hard on myself. So, I release that here "on the edge of the New Year" and embrace KIND goals, and all the WONDER this is going to bring as I move on to the year of jubilee in 2025. Welcome all the wonder!!

This is amazing Sarah! I LOVE when things align and you keep seeing the same word or theme everywhere you turn. Gosh, I'm glad you are here!

Thank you so much, Michele, for sharing your creativity with us and getting us into a beautiful habit of wonder. This is truly wonderful. That’s where my creativity is so often blocked that I don’t plan it into my day to paint or sketch. 5 min a day is doable. 🤩

I am actually living and working in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa.

Côte d’Ivoire! Angelika, welcome! Africa holds so much of my heart. I am the queen of overcomplicating things and then overwhelming myself which leads to exactly that, a creative shutdown. I find I need to make it so simple it can't be overwhelming. I'm glad that resonates. So happy you are here.

I am Aimee, from Manitoba Canada. I am a mom, wife, chiropractor, writer, aspiring watercolour artist and often overwhelmed with all the things I love. I lost my oldest child 5 years ago this December and I love the idea of GENTLE WONDER. I gave up having goals, and resolutions when I lost my son, which sounds terrible, but I couldn’t figure out how to have goals anymore. Now I just want to enter my years gentle and with ease, and give myself time to find glimmers in my day.

Aimee, I am so so sorry for your loss. Grief has a way of turning everything inside out and us with it. Gentle wonder has literally led me home to myself. I'm truly grateful you're here. We'll look for those glimmers together. Sending so much love. ❤️

I am Kerstin, a German expat living for over 30 years in Scotland. For the past 7 years I run my own business as a professional bilingual tourist guide for the whole of Scotland. My emphasis is on Scottish Heritage Crafts, slow travel and connecting people. I am a creative soul and love to try out new crafting skills. There is so much to learn and to skill up on which is why this past year alone I learned table top weaving, book binding, quilting and refined my skills in knitting, crocheting and embroidery. I love to visit art galleries and be out in nature, listen to good music , bake for friends and family and just take in the moment now and then.

I look forward to the 5 minutes a day Wonder Practice and are preparing my tiles at the moment. Thank you for this fabulous opportunity.

Kerstin, I dream of making it back to Scotland one day. Scottish Heritage Crafts?!?!? OK, I now literally just want to follow you around. I've picked up embroidery and slow stitching this fall. And I'm delving into half-scale miniatures, spun cotton, and needle felting. I want to create my own little whimsical world of mice in adorable clothes drinking tea. I'm so excited to hear more how this journey unfolds for you!

Hi Michelle, first of all happy New Year to you. I can literally see the group of needle felted mice in my minds eye that you will create. I started to dabble into needle felting a few years back and have a stash of material still in a box waiting to be turned into something lovely. I completed a reading glasses case with a Scottish landscape a while ago. It’s lovely to know I am amongst fellow crafters whilst participating in your Wonder a Day Journey 😍

Hi Kerstin. I am a German expat too, living for over 30 years in West Africa : Burkina Faso, Togo and now Côte d’Ivoire. My dream for a long time is to visit Scotland. I haven’t been able to yet. I love everything creative and so excited to be in this community of WONDER 🤩

Hi Angelika, so nice to hear from you. I visited Africa in 2024 for the first time as part of a retreat setting for women. I fell in love with the area (Simon’s Town, Western Cape), enjoyed wild swimming, the Penguin Colony on Bolder’s Beach, learning about Africa’s minerals and their healing properties and so much more. Cape Town and Table Mountain was interesting too. You’ll get to Scotland one day, I’m sure and you’ll love it. Let me know if I can be of assistance when the time comes. Lovely to meet you in Michelle’s creative community. What a small world! 🤩
