The Absolute Necessity of Community | Things that help me refocus my energy, regulate my nervous system, and regain perspective when it feels like everything is spinning out of control
Thank you for this post. I didn’t need a reminder that this result is going to have disastrous effects, but I did need to be reminded that there are people who desire and create real community. And that is where I need to focus. Caring for and helping people in community. And if Virginia is in your plans, I will offer whatever help I can to your transition.
I woke this am to the feeling of dread. I knew before I even looked online at the terrible outcome. Thank you for your words of encouragement as well as truth. We will need a community to push forward. Hopefully we can stay in touch with one another.
I am hanging onto to this post like a lifeline today. We are devastated but this outcome and what it means for us, those we love and the world we live in. Thank you for your work.
Apparently I'm one of very few who's not upset at the election outcome. I feel like our newly elected president has already served a four year term and the country was in better shape, in pretty much every way, than it is today. We all voted, hopefully, for who and what we thought was in the best interest of our country and the results are in. Maybe we just need to take a deep breath and hope and pray for the best while we keep doing what we do best- creating art.
Oh Michele, praying for you and millions of others who have wakened this morning to the reality that their very lives are threatened. Sending love for a good resolution to your situation. After crying a few days, I’ll get back to the work of spreading light and love and hope.
Thank you Michele, for sharing your thoughts and feelings. I am sure you will land somewhere where there is community where you will thrive. Thinking of you and all those like-minded friends out there.
Thank you for staying open-hearted and encouraging us to find light where we can.
Thank you so much 🥰
I am so frightened by the outcome. Not so much for me but for my children and grandchildren. What have we done
Me too. Meeeeee tooooooo

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I am afraid too of what has to come… and I am from Spain. I can’t understand why people voted this. So sad.
Thank you, this is beautiful.

On such a dark day where I am deep in dread and uncertainty, these words are a balm. Thank you.
