My question is how will I continue this wonder-full practice of painting every day without the prompts after day 100? I seriously need ideas for this....

Really great question, Deb! And that's my question too! Prior to the HDW, I would sit down with my paints, brushes and paper and try to find inspiration for something ( anything!) to paint/ create. I'd always thought that should be easy, but I don't find it to be. Sooo, how do you come up with prompts, Michele? Are there favorite things you'd rather paint? Flowers, scenery, animals, etc?

I know I’m not Michele but I’ve had this thought and these are some of my conclusions tho I’d love more ideas too…I’ve thought of repeating the whole 100 prompts in a different medium or perhaps look through my photo library and favorite some photos and create them.

My question is how to continue to build community with like minded artists when there isn’t a challenge activity happening? I long for this type support in my creativity!

I would love a tutorial on layering in watercolor.

I'll never forget. My friend walked into my house and said, "I know you're an artist but where is your work?" I said, "Under my bed."

She convinced me to frame and hang, and create something more fun and not as scary and exhausting (vulnerable) as fine art.

So I was able to restart my creative life by making whimsical cinnamon colored teddy bear drawings called "GingerSnaps"

Art changes us. And sometimes we need to change our art when it's not working for us any longer.

Artists are a special kind of wonderful 😊

Hi. I wondered if I just put a pin in a dictionary page would I be able to get prompts from that? So I can continue? 😄 Also what is a creek side please. I'm in uk not used this word before. Is it like a river bank? My searches come up with places in USA or walnut Grove/creek. I do love little house on the prairie but??,😊 Thank you x

I had a day of travel yesterday, Bristol uk to Chamonix France. I had a conversation in the airport lift with another lone traveller who wanted company. It was fun to talk of our families and to meet someone new but by the time we arrived in Geneva my creativity ran out! I had no time to sit and stare as the poem says! . I find fatigue plays a big part in my loss of creativity, however, unexpectedly, worrying encourages it. It’s an escape. It does help to have the prompts as I can concentrate on the subject , not on what to paint next.

I’m at my daughter's home now and will be able to draw again, My view at the moment is of snowy trees and fog covered mountains and I feel a need to get pen to paper.

How lovely to think you will continue this group.

Hi JL, I’m assuming it’s a stream, may be like the ones at Horner Woods in Exmoor, shallow and trout filled, but fast running.
